This article examines the development of museum collections with a focus on the collectors who donated objects to the institutions or provided them on loan. The exploratory study highlights the limitations and possibilities of network analysis based on online datasets.

This paper introduces PROV-‍A (the Provenance App), a web-based tool designed to streamline the creation and publication of provenance information as Linked Open Data.

Der Beitrag widmet sich der digitalen Lücke im Kontext der Kunstgeschichte und Provenienzforschung und fragt nach Arten und Ursachen. Auf Basis einer Studie verschiedener Datenbanken und einer digitalen Methode werden Arten digitaler Lücken identifiziert und in einer (erweiterbaren) Typologie festgehalten.
